The GE Logiq S8 is a flexible workhorse and is the best option for shared service. This system supports applications in cardiac, abdominal, obstetrics, gynecology, breast, small parts, urological, musculoskeletal, peripheral vascular, pediatrics, neonatal and transcranial ultrasound.

Some of the standard features are speckle reduction imaging (SRI-HD), automatic optimization, fine angle steering, coded harmonic imaging, 3D, fetal trending, raw data analysis and crossbeam. Among the rich offerings is a robust list of calculations packages that are part of the standard issue.

There are many imaging modes that are also standard with this system. 2D imaging, M-mode, Pulsed Wave Doppler static 3D, power Doppler imaging, anatomic M-Mode and curved anatomic M-Mode are the necessary components of the complete study. The number of options include continuous wave Doppler, TVI, extended view(Logiqview), realtime 4D, coded contrast imaging and elastography .

The additional pluses are operating keyboard adjustable in two directions: height and rotation, remote control up to six peripheral devices and ergonomic hard key lay out. Worklist and many DICOM features are available for connectivity. The peripherals include B/W printers, thermal printers, USB, CD-RW, DVD and hard drive image storage.
